The course gives to students a wide knowledge about main topics of informatics, computer hardware and software, principles for design and functions of computer operating system, main types of algorithms, etc. The basic aspects of programming with the language Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) are considered: variables and types of data, arithmetical, relational
and logical operation, cycle operation, etc., input/output files, etc. The laboratory exercises are accomplished with MS VBA.
